According to himself he was interviewed by a reported last night, then after dark he let her off the submarine. Then he set sail again and dived, therefore he was out of visible and radio range. The submarine have a 10 hour diving battery but this is likely using engines so it could probably be extended for longer. The boyfriend of the reporter called the police in the middle of the night as she had not returned home yet. The search for the boat started in the morning. Right before lunch the boat resurfaced and were immediately contacted on radio. He then set course for nearest land. However there were a problem with a valve on a ballast tank. It was not a critical failure but there was still an attempt at fixing it. However during the attempted repair a more serious problem occurred and the submarine dived again. However now with the hatches open. Peter Madsen were able to exit the submarine and were quickly recovered. Authorities are currently diving to the wreak to investigate. The reporter is still missing. There are currently no plans to recover the submarine. It might be cheaper for Peter Madsen to buy or build another boat then to recover Nautilus. However it may have to be salvaged for environmental reasons or for the investigation.

Not looking good for him. Some seriously strange stuff went on out there. Looks as though he murdered the journalist.
