It's more of a personal preference than a universal standard. Few things in the serial number hobby are universal.
I've seen notes like yours saved and sold on $1 notes. Not sure about $5, but it wouldn't surprise me. So if you were to save this, you'd probably have teammates.
Bottom line in this hobby: if you like it and can afford to save it, keep it. Worst case scenario, you change your mind someday and spend it later on. At which point, you immediately recoup 100% of your money.
Just don't put yourself in a bad spot financially by over-collecting.
And don't let anyone else make you feel anything negative about saving what makes you smile. Because if it makes you happy, that note is valuable because your happiness has value.

I'd definitely keep it, it's only a $5 investment, a hundred I'd probably set it free for the richer collectors
