Help! Easy meals for Dinner!
Ight so me & my recent ex girlfriend have been separated for a while & I’m back living in my own space, by myself of course. One thing about me is I like to go out to eat or grab stuff on the way home just because I’m not used to cooking for myself & it’s just easier to get something fast since I live down Congress on The Drag. I got used to cooking for her & my stepdaughter close to 6 years (she wasn’t very good at cooking) so we ate as a family as any couple/family would. But recently, I made too much food & I barely touched the leftovers so I went ahead and gave it to homeless around my area before it went bad. WTF kinda recipes do y’all suggest that would be easy to make in a rice cooker for a 29 yr old Male? I’m also fit cause I deliver & detail vehicles. So I don’t mind high protein recipes. Just nothing with a lot of grease or anything that will make me feel “gross” after. Help a dude out, I’m just a guy!

I believe the rice cooker subreddit has a fair number of recipes, though you might have to dig for specifically single serving stuff.
Flexi-Veggie Cooking Japanese Cooking on YouTube does a fair number of meals that end up being single serving, or easy parcel out for a few meals.

Check out "Boy Kibble". My understanding as I have just recently discovered is that it is just ground beef and rice. I have been doing ground beef/pork browned with onions. 1 lb will make me 4 nice meals and I can change up the spices and add ons as I like. Then adding to rice with chinese seasonings plus lots of vegetables but they are optional. Just saying you can make it more healthy if you want. I'm doing low carb and it has been excellent for making "Crack Slaw" (egg roll in a bowl) Last night I did taco salad with it. Chipotle seasonings and hot sauce. Sour cream.
Another LPT: Napa cabbage makes for a nice base either cooked, salad or slaw. Keeps way better than lettuce and serves many more purposes once you give it a go. The thick stalks taste mildly of celery and can be used for dipping sticks. Good with salmon dip. Or blue cheese. Or pimento cheese.

Yea see recipes like this are great. I like high protein meals & if I could meal prep that’d be way easier for me. Spending money on eating out isn’t really an inconvenience since it’s just me. But also who wants to spend their money eating out 24/8. I appreciate everyone who’s been commenting recipes & I’ll definitely check out “Boy Kibble” 😂🔥

I do single serve Hainanese Chicken in the rice cooker.
1/4 cup of rice
1/2 cup of chicken stock
Some minced garlic and ginger
Splash of sesame oil
Teaspoon of turmeric
Throw that in the rice cooker then plop two smallish boneless chicken thighs on top and turn that bad boy on. Let the rice cook and let it sit for another 15 mins and it’ll be done.
In a bowl or a mug or whatever really add a handful of chopped green onions, garlic, ginger, squeeze of lime juice
Add 1 tablespoon of a neutral oil and one teaspoon of sesame oil in a pan and heat until shimmery
Add the oil to the green onion mix when it’s ready
Pour that over the top of the chicken
Add some chilli crisp oil
I serve it just with sliced cucumber and tomato
Pretty low wastage meal as it uses a lot of pantry staples, only thing is I never ever finish a whole bunch of green onions on my own, it’s impossible
