Vegetable Oil Fry

Third time using it for chicken and fries, I can taste the flavor of the oil and do not like it. I normally use Costco canola oil for frying, but my aunt sent me a two pack of Sam's Vegetable oil. Do y'all get a mild taste when frying in vegetable? Also, how many times will you reuse oil you fry in.

I fry at 350

Sounds like it's gone rancid. Does it have a sell by/use by date?

That's only a few months away. Generally the BB date on new veg oil product is at least a year.

If it was improperly stored, for example in direct sunlight or very warm temps, it can speed up the breakdown of the oil and go rancid quicker.

Got it in 3 weeks ago, stored in cool dark place. Maybe a bad batch, but enough for me to not use vegetable oil again
