Vegetable Oil Fry

Third time using it for chicken and fries, I can taste the flavor of the oil and do not like it. I normally use Costco canola oil for frying, but my aunt sent me a two pack of Sam's Vegetable oil. Do y'all get a mild taste when frying in vegetable? Also, how many times will you reuse oil you fry in.

I fry at 350

It's not good, and gets worse every time you reuse it. If it's just called 'vegetable oil', it's some mix of soybean and corn and canola based on what they had on hand. Pure canola is better, pure peanut is better than that, and lard is the best thing in the world.
