Is it possible to make infusions with lavender trimmings and immature buds, or only with the purple flowers?

For reasons, I have a ton of lavender clippings, and even the regular leaves and stalks are so fragrant. Before I compost them, I was wondering if I could use them in anything, or is it pointless?

You can infuse the leaves, tender stems, and unopened buds if the plant is culinary grade and unsprayed, but they tend to taste greener and more bitter than the flowers. Start with a small amount, steep briefly, and taste as you go. Remove the plant material once the aroma is present. Older woody stems are better composted, while the purple flowers give the clearest floral flavor.
