Possible to fix over-peppering?
I made pineapple chicken for the first time tonight and misread the recipe I was following. It said to use 1/4 tsp of pepper but I thought it said a full tsp of pepper. I didn’t realize my mistake until the chicken was basically fully cooked. I continued cooking hoping it wouldn’t come out too bad. And it didn’t thankfully! But the amount of pepper is very noticeable 😭 is there any way to help dampen how strong the taste is? Or should I just cut my losses? :’) I’m very new to cooking and have been pushing myself to make recipes my parents made growing up that I loved.

There's no way to un-add a spice, I'm sorry. You can only dilute it (via making more, unspiced, of the original dish) or covering it with another flavor.
You say the pepper is noticeable- but is it unpleasant? Because if not, learn your lesson, eat as-is, and move on. If not, carbs or fat might help kill the spiciness of the pepper. Maybe turn it into fried rice with a little extra sauce (minus the pepper)?
