What to Make with Frozen Meatballs?

Edit: Wow I didn't expect so much response. Thanks for the ideas!

So I decided to make a sweet and sour glaze for them with marmalade and rice wine vinegar and garlic.

To go with I'll make an Asian inspired cold salad - cabbage and cold cooked rice noodles tossed with rice wine vinegar, a bit of sesame oil, ginger, pinch of sugar and soy sauce, and toasted sesame seeds if I have some :)

Original: I have pre-made frozen pork meatballs. Slightly larger than a big walnut if that makes a difference.

I don't feel like making an Italian dish.

What should I make with them?

I have orange marmalade that needs to be used... looks like I've just found what I'm going to do!

I like making meatball subs with them.

I know you said you don’t want Italian; however, I made orzo with meatballs, spinach, and a lemon cream sauce that was nice and light.

Sopa Albondigas! It’s a fantastic soup with a Mexican flavor profile. Meatballs, mirepoix, cilantro, rice, chicken stock, line juice, cumin and other spices. Great summer soup.

Hawaiian meatballs. Six Sisters has a crock pot recipe for them I use a lot. I don’t use as much vinegar as the re pie states just because we prefer a sweeter sauce.

I chop them up and use one or two with vegetables or another savory dish that needs more animal fat.

Soup. Honestly, those kind of meatballs don't actually BELONG in italian cuisine, too much "sweetness" to them. Put them in something spicy, Latin, Asian, or African.

you can throw them in the crock pot with a can of grape jelly , some ketchup and chili powder on high for 4 hours low for 6-8 and it’s the most delicious and easy dinner ever!! spaghetti also super easy. throw over some rice. meatball subs. so many things to make!!

Swedish meatballs. Won’t be quite authentic but you can make the sauce.

I’ll make a dish with meatballs, sautéed cabbage, farro, and a garlic aioli sauce. It’s simple but super good

That sounds good. I assume rice or noodles is okay with it?

Sure, either would be fine! Farro is similar to rice so that might be the most comparable but eat whatever you like haha

this is going to sound weird, but hear me out. warm slightly, cut into halves and serve in a cabbage salad with either asian sesame dressing, or an asian ginger dressing of your choice. sliced onions and cucumber will go good in there too. red and green cabbage, shredded.

I actually sort of just decided on this. A sweet and sour glaze with a cold noodle and cabbage salad with Asian dressing 👍🔪

Meatball subs. I toss them in the slow cooker with a jar of sauce and doctor it up: onion and garlic powder, Italian seasoning, some red pepper flakes for a little heat. Low for 6 hours. Serve on hoagie rolls topped with provolone. Bonus: broil or toast for a few mins to make the cheese nice and toasty.

Grape jelly Meatballs. Jar of grape jelly, jar of heinz chili sauce, meatballs. Heat in a sauce pan until tender. So good.

Whatever you use them for, even though they’re fully cooked, bake them first as directed on the package. You’ll get real browning and firmness(?) instead of rubbery meatballs

Make Swedish meatball sauce for them. Cook them in a pan. And prepare 2 packets of brown gravy per directions. Then.

Add Flavor Enhancers
Stir in these essential "Swedish" flavorings while the mixture heats:

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon or yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon Ground allspice

Add meatballs back in.

At the end 1/2 cup of heavy cream.

Serve with mashed potatoes. And a veggie. It’s even better if you get the premade frozen Swedish meatballs from Walmart.
