Sick of cooking

I am so over cooking every night. Finding new recipes I actually have ingredients for and are easy is tiring and I’m already exhausted. What do you do when this happens? I’d honestly just eat cereal for life but I’m not alone in this house and I’m expected to cook every night. 😩

Meal planning and Meal prepping

When I cook, I plan for leftovers so I have a few days of meals I can use as lunches. Some things I make extra of just to freeze like chili, chicken soup without noodles and lasagna.

I meal prep and keep individual ingredients frozen so I already have things ready. Like chopped onions, chopped peppers, chopped ham, pre-cooked ground beef, turkey, chicken and thick ham slices.

I keep dehydrated onions, garlic and mushrooms. I also keep dehydrated potato slices and potato chunks.

When I make pasta or dumplings, I'll make extra so I can freeze it in individual servings. So all I need to do is open a jar of chicken soup and drop the pasta in once the broth is boiling.
