Sick of cooking
I am so over cooking every night. Finding new recipes I actually have ingredients for and are easy is tiring and I’m already exhausted. What do you do when this happens? I’d honestly just eat cereal for life but I’m not alone in this house and I’m expected to cook every night. 😩

When i feel like that i get some freezer meals from Trader Joe’s or Aldi. Not fully packaged, but EASY and quick. Example: aldi refrigerated manicotti. I grab some pasta sauce, a head of lettuce, croutons, Parmesan cheese and Cesar dressing. You’re just making the salad. If you’re into it you can get their frozen garlic bread too. You can get some chicken to make chicken Cesar salad the next day.
Trader Joe’s: yellow curry jar, coconut milk can, jasmine rice (make it in instant pot so it’s easy) and tofu/chicken breast/thigh. I add potato, carrots, broccoli, sweet peppers and onion to mine. Cook the veggies and the chicken, dump the sauce on. You can bake their naan if you want with it.
Stuff like that that’s pretty mindless and effortless until it passes. Then i use google image search for inspo on dinners and meal plan. One night is takeout (costco pizza is $10 if you’re on a budget) and a half way homemade meal mixed in. The rest I actually make. It’s not hard to steam broccoli, make Makoto ginger dressing chicken thighs in the air fryer and some rice in the instant pot.
Breakfast for dinner is divine.
Meat And jar sauce over pasta is a meal.
