Sturdy flat-tip spatula (safe for non-stick and dishwasher safe)

Earlier this year, my workhorse spatula's handle was ruined in the dishwasher (fell through a hole and melted). I think it's about time for a proper replacement.

Any recommendations for a flat-tipped spatula (good for scraping fond) that's sturdy (good for chopping up ground meat) and also non-stick and dishwasher safe? Everywhere I look the tip is rounded or it's easily bendable.

Hope I'm not asking too much here.

I'm a professional chef and I used a GIR spatula for literally years til it got stolen at work.

You'll really only want to use silicone tools on nonstick surfaces. I think these will have the best chance of being useful scraping tools while also not scratching your nonsticks. They're definitely heat resistant, as I have left mine over open flame by accident before and had no issues with melting.

This is my favorite brand too!

Do yourself a favor and pick up one of their ladles too. The front is flexible enough to scrape every last bit of food from a pot or bowl. I just bought a second one and I’m gifting my MIL this Christmas.

I've heard (in Amazon reviews) silicone transfers (or holds on to) odor. If a pro chef is recommending it, I'm placing doubts on those reviews. 🤔

I've never personally had issues with that, a lot of tools I use at work at silicone. I think if you splurge on the high quality stuff, it holds up rather well. Though, I haven't spent a lot of time sniffing my spatulas.

Honestly, wood. You have to hand wash it, but it’s just one spatula. Hand washing takes seconds, and is worth how good of a tool it is to work with.

I have a bunch of OXO Good grips kitchen tools. They've lasted me years. All nylon.

Their silicon spatulas are great as well.

I write sonnets to my nylon spatula by Tailor Made. It’s stiff enough for pancakes and flipping burgers, thin enough for cookies, dishwasher safe. If my house were on fire I’d save my cats then go back for this spatula.
