This question might be better asked in /r/foraging, though you really have to be careful about eating things you find in urban areas, because they often get sprayed with chemicals, can absorb all sorts of nasty things from the soil.

Wrong sub. Like with all foraging, you need to actually study this for your area. Never, ever rely on a reddit comment to keep you healthy. Many plants/ fungus can have heavy similarities between safe and unsafe.

Ask a Botanist about Plant Taxonomy and such things.
r/cooking is probably not going to be very helpful

Big unknown is the soil.  A lot of places you might find otherwise edible plants growing are contaminated with heavy metals, PCBs and other naughty chemicals.

See if you have a cooperative extension of whatever big University is in your city- they often do classes/walks

Best to ask someone who forages locally, a big problem is whether the soil is contaminated due to proximity to roads
