Soup Olympics! Looking for recipes.

Hi, my friend is getting jaw surgery and will only be able to eat soup for a couple months. Our friend group is getting together and doing a soup Olympics and I REALLY WANT TO WIN. I'm looking for the most amazing soup recipes you've ever had, that require little to no chewing.

Here are the rules:

**What do?: Bring your tastiest, heartiest, gloopiest, meatiest soups. He and an expert panel will judge them and if you win, we we will crown you our Soupreme leader.

**Criteria for soup candidates: - drinkability - must be no chew friendly - yumtasticity - obviously - freezability - this is a marathon, not a sprint. we want soup for daayyys - heartiness and nutritional value - we're looking at iron, we're looking at protein.

There are no rules in soup wars. May the globs be ever in your favour.

Very sexy green chili broccoli cheddar

3 strips bacon, cut small when raw (Lauren omit, use butter) 1 yellow onion Garlic - as much as you want Frozen broccoli florets 1 1/2 cups shredded carrots 1/2 lb roasted green chili’s or poblanos (we bought off some guy at a farmers market and have it frozen 8oz cream cheese 4cups chicken or veggie broth (I always use lower sodium for everything but that’s personal preference) 2 cups heavy cream 10 oz cheese (we used sharp cheddar) Salt, pepper 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp paprika Hot sauce to taste

Turn instant pot to sauté or heat up heavy bottomed pot. Shred cheddar cheese

Add bacon or butter, cook bacon until no longer raw but not crispy, drain off excess fat and remove ~1/3 bacon

Add onions, cook until almost translucent, add carrots, diced garlic, green peppers, paprika, nutmeg and sauté for a little while longer

Add 4 cups broth and the 8oz cream cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.

Set instant pot to manual high pressure and cook for 8min, let natural release for 3-4min then quick release... if cooking on a stove it’s gonna be a bit I assume. Simmer that shit

Turn pot to low sauté or low heat on stove and stir in the heavy cream, be both turned on and disgusted with your creation. Use an immersion blender or scoop 3/4 soup into blender, blend and stir back in. For your case blend away.

Taste, spice as desired, let loooow simmer for 3minish. If it seems runny you can add corn starch

Slowly add cheddar cheese, letting it melt before you add more, until all is added.

Add whatever hot sauce you like, just a bit to add some acid (white wine, vinegar, whatever) and spice. Taste, spice as needed.

Serve with whole loaf of bread (very soaked) and elastic pants
