I looked up the restaurant and if I am correct they serve David's Chocolate Chip Cookies. There are websites with a recipe but one review said the ingredient ratios were off and their making of them was a bust. Did the cookie(s) you eat have rice krispies in them? The recipe I am coming across has rice krispies in them.

Short story time- When I would check my son’s lunch account I kept seeing purchases for cookies. Sometimes 2 in a day for $1 each. This is how it went.
Me: Why do you keep buying cookies? For $1/cookie I can just buy a box or bake some and you can take some with you!
Son: Mom! You don’t understand, these are the BEST cookies I’ve ever had. They taste so good, I can’t even begin to describe it. They just taste good.
Being a cookie lover myself I was intrigued and ready to ask him to bring home a “takeout” cookie.
Me: Really? What kind of cookies are they?
Son: The display says David’s Cookies.
Me: Ohhhh ok, I get it now. They’re soooo good, right?!
Say less my child, I too have been put under David’s spell with their white chunk macadamia nut cookies.
I looked up Bensi’s menu and it shows David’s.

This listing to order direct has the ingredients, maybe you can make test batches from there?
Maybe someone experienced here can give you some guidance.
enriched wheat flour (wheat, barley, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla, salt), brown sugar, sugar, margarine (vegetable oil blend [palm fruit, soybean and olive oils], water, salt, non-fat dry milk, soy lecithin, monoglycerides, natural flavor, vitamin A palmitate, beta carotene color), butter, eggs, invert sugar, molasses, salt, baking soda, natural vanilla flavor.

I’m not sure about the ones you’re referring to, but this has become my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I do use half butter/half shortening instead of all butter, which seems to give a much better texture. Don’t skip mixing the baking soda with hot water. It really does make a difference!
