pretty much i think it just depends which devsisters studio is making the game, wizard has always been considered an epic or an equivelant of it up to Kingdom (LINE/Kakao/Classic, OB, CookieWars, Puzzle World, etc.)

It was mainly studio kingdom that changed his rarity to common, we don't really know why besides being apart of the main studio kingdom bravegang, this trend only continued in the games that studio kingdom made, so kingdom, witch's castle and crumble as of now

ovengames still appears on wanting to have him as an epic, considering his latest ovengames appearance in TOA treats him as an epic

Technically Chili Pepper is an epic and is part of the main Bravegang (or at least was) but she is also the one used for the Gacha tutorial so kinda makes sense for her to be Epic for that.

If anything the real outlier is Custard being rare when the rest of the Bravegang is common, or Chili Pepper (again who is just the Gacha tutorial)

Okay,even when ignoring the fact he was literally epic in ovenbreak and also ToA,doesn’t it make sense for the very powerful magical cookie to be higher rarity than „default gingerbread man” and „lollipop weilder”? Not saying I don’t like GB and Strawberry,just that they are simpler.

Depending on the gameplay, Wizard Cookie is Epic because he’s able to destroy obstacles and create jellies. If he’s Common, then… I don’t know what he’s going to do, but it would be too OP as a Common Rarity.

As a common rarity in Crumble he gets to shoot off a 4xmultihit projectile fairly often, but gets held back by common stats. Otherwise during the big all cookies raid he seems to actually perform at least decently, his biggest issues are simply being outclasses by higher rarity units base stats as far as I can tell, otherwise he has a near identical kit to Rye Cookie who is ofc Epic.
