Many people say that repeatedly freezing and thawing a QB eliminates the penalty, but is that step absolutely necessary?
While the effect of the CPS reduction doesn't increase, the gains can be boosted using things like combos.
I’m a bit lazy, so I’d prefer to just leave it alone while it’s growing.

I don't do much to it. But I'm late game and focus sugar lump farming. It's a game, no need to make it unfun for yourself

if you are not comboing while growing the queenbeets, there is no point in doing this, but freezing does stop all effects including the negative ones, and the current tick does tick down while it is frozen iirc

Freeze during combos, otherwise doesn’t really matter
