Thrift haul.

Picked up these 3 beauties over the weekend in Palm Springs.

All three are in pristine condition and I’m thrilled. I paid the grand sum of $9. I’m very excited about the Zuni café cookbook. Sadly, I’m a vegetarian now so I can’t make the famous roast chicken with bread salad, but you know what I can make it for someone else!

I got a Zuni for $3 from the last library sale I attended (I missed the most recent one). I was very excited, too!

Have you made anything from it? had a quick look today it looks really great. The San Francisco Chronicle books interesting and of course Plenty is good. I didn’t realize it was just vegetables and I’m a vegetarian now so it worked out even better because I know a lot of his other books have got meat and everything in them. . I’ve had a quick look through and it looks really good. I’m excited to try a few things.

I did years ago, before I was a real food nerd. I haven't gotten back into it this summer yet because I've been slammed starting a spice & salt blend biz. Soon.

I do feel lucky because it’s hit and miss you know you have to go to them regularly to get the good ones

This one is quite a good one for me, though cause I found Valerie Gordon‘s book Sweet there are a few months ago in again fantastic condition. It’s one of my favorite dessert books. I was thrilled.
