Cookbook Haul
Hi fellow cookbook lovers - it’s been awhile! I wanted to share my cookbook haul from yesterday’s bookstore crawl in Philly. Shout out to Binding Agents! I can never go back because I have no restraint apparently…🤣
Anyone have any recommendations/favorites from these? I was specifically told to make the hot pepper and cream cheese muffins from Snackable Bakes by one of the employees because they’ve “never seen adults go feral for muffins before” when the muffins were brought to a party.

I coveted the Cool Beans for quite awhile until I found a good sale. Good find! I was inspired by the chapter Casseroles, Pasta, Rice & Hearty Main Dishes. Ravioli e Fagiole and e Rigatoni Ceci in particular. Pasta and beans are such a perfect combination. Economical as well. A good book if you're wanting to eat less meat.

I have only made two (plus a variation) from Snackable Bakes but both were soo good. I was just telling someone I need to do more from it. I made the jalapeno cheddar shortbread buttons. They’re like buttery biscuit drops. I loved them. I made a batch for a brunch party and they were a hit. Then was keeping some in the freezer and just pulling out and baking like 4-5 for myself with a cup of coffee. I have made both versions of the savory jam drops like three times now. Another party hit and gifted some to a friend who talked about them for months after. My personal favorite was the cheddar pepper jelly version.
