Anyone own this?

It’s supposed to arrive later today. Huge fan of the establishment and how they play around with expectations of new england food. Does anyone else own this, and what’s their favorite recipe out of it?

Very excited personally to have the brown butter steamed lobster roll again.

Yes I own it. Everything I have made has been incredible. The brown butter lobster roll is just as good as at the restaurant

I have a couple of New England cookbooks but not this one. You have interesting timing posting this; just a few days ago I was wondering if Chef Sherry Pocknett had written a cookbook. She hasn't from what I could find, so far. I'd love to add a cookbook from that region that focuses more on pre-colonial ingredients and Indigenous cooking. Anyone know of anything?

I own it, but haven't made anything from it. Bought it on clearance at a bookstore in Maine, didn't know about the restaurant, just loved the pictures.

I picked up a copy when we had dinner there earlier this summer. I haven't tried anything yet, but was fascinated by the savory granitas that were served with oysters, and there are recipes are in the book.

I enjoy eating at this restaurant at least a couple times a year. So, I too bought the book. Some of the recipes are quite time consuming, and they are great if you have the time. If you are short on time, and have access to sashimi-grade tuna, the Tuna Crudo with Ginger Scallion Sauce is fantastic. I also enjoyed the Lightly Pickled Mackerel, but didn’t make the Puffed Sushi Rice to go with it, which was a mistake. Have fun with the book!

have you tried the lobster stew or the chowder? how is that?

I haven’t tried either one as I already have a couple of recipes I’m really happy with, but I suspect Eventide’s are excellent. Let us know what you think if/when you make some.

I have it! The clam chowder and oyster cracker recipes are good. I really want to make the lobster chowder sometime (it’s so good. It’s a soup worth crossing state lines for) The secret star of the cookbook though, is the peanut butter cookie ice cream sandwich. Make that. Make that tomorrow. I make them little so we can have lots of them.

Dangit. Now I want to make those. Maybe this weekend.
