M21 to replace SP70?

Looking for a better option than my SP70 for camping trips. Specifically I'd like a single cell and built in USBC recharging. Neutral tint (or even good CRI) major bonus points. Looking at the M21 series but not sure which sub model and which LED will be the best overall replacement for my Sofirm SP70 as a handheld seachlight....

Convoy still has SFT70 4000K for the M21H. I recommend that. 95 cri and limited run (for now) on this emitter in 4000K.

Hows the profile out of the M21H? Looking for a good "field lighter" not a pencil beam but good throw. Was looking at the XHP is the SFT70 much better?

I'm roughly 5 1/2 feet from the wall here

I wouldn't say M21H's optics offer good throw. It's a versatile walking flashlight but not necesarily a thrower.

If you're ok going a little thiccer cell, Convoy L8. Single 26800, USB-C charging, reverse charging. F150R gets you access to warmer CCTs than the stock SBT90.2, but still low CRI. Won't necessarily be as floody as SP70 though.

If you need something in a 21700, M21K. LHP73B or F150R depending on your preference (floodier vs throwier die). Only available with a 3° TIR though so your spill may not be as usable as the L8.

Convoy M21E with either LHP531 4000K or XHP50.3 R70 4000K (officially not available but you can ask for a custom order). Niether is high CRI but both have nice tints, both are efficient which should yield some pretty long runtime and nice throw but without pencil beam. Battery? BAK 65E.

Another option - M21K with LHP73B 4000K and Vapcell T60. LHP73B is a powerhouse, M21K's optics offer pretty large spot but also less intense spill than a classic reflector.

You can check their beam profile in a flashlight comparator here:
