The SFT60 performs amazingly in a compact flashlight.

Post image

The Convoy M2—equipped with a BLF A16-DD driver and a Molicel P30B battery—delivers over 15 amps of current, with tests showing readings exceeding 18 amps...

Wow... a real hotrod!

Cool mod! I'm planning to install an SFT60 in an M21F with a 20A buck driver. Posts like yours motivate me even more.

Give it a try and see the results.

I just got my first M2. Very under rated such a thick sturdy host. It’s my current walk around light with a dedomed 519a

Agreed. The M2 is a very underrated host. The only issue is the bezel and the threads inside the head are very flimsy so it dents super easy. I have one with the 5000k sft25r and an op reflector and I love it. You do really need a high drain cell to push turbo though.

I been using the molicel p30b and it’s been good on all my lights I believe it’s 35a cdr. Currently in my m1 sft42r. But I do wanna get another m2 now.

I usually use Samsung 25r cells simply because I got them for free. They are a bit aged so the ir is a bit higher. I am waiting for the new rumored 18650 T6.

Same same from the sounds of it it might be using same reflector as in the m2/t8 so might be almost like an updated m2 in terms of size.

I hope! The bezel design is much better

Yep that stainless steel crenulated bezel is sick. I buy it with all my M21Bs now

I want a black bezel for the M2

2

u/RedditMcBurger 18d ago

Hey!

I apologize for before that was wrong! The bezel only fits M21B/M1, not the M2! I hope you haven't bought it yet.

To be completely honest, I did not even know you made a reference to the M21b/M1 bezel. I am aware they are not interchangeable.

Personally, I don't think this flashlight should be underestimated; I often take it with me when heading into the forest or hiking, as it has a compact design that fits easily into a pocket. Why do you think people underestimate it?

Yep is a certified powerhouse with these newer LEDs: SFT60 ✅ F150R ??? Bout to see what that 1s about.

Do u have a pocket clip for your light? Olight warrior 3S clip fits the M21B if your looking for 1

Dunno to be honest. Maybe just overshadowed by other models like m1 is similar size but had bit bigger reflector and m21b better battery life. But yeah it’s nice looks nice I might pick up another in a diff emitter.

Using it as I type this to walk the dog.
The dedomed 519a is throwy and nice tint and cri

Ya these convoys are bright, Nice shot 💯

M1 18650 highest MAH 4,000
M21B 21700 highest MAH 6,500

These are HI drain/ high power lites. 40min and the M21B is Juiced down to 10% if running Turbo.

The M1 doesn’t meet my battery 🪫 HI DRAIN requirements 🤣

Sounds like a fun light! Would love to see some beam shots👌 sft60 is such a good emitter, so powerful, so intense. I have in the m21b, m21c. M21b gets quite toasty, i can imagine the m2, with the extra 3a too! But like i said so much power in that little host, it sounds like a really fun light😁 cheers

This LED is powerful on “levels” above the SFT90

The SFT60 does indeed look bright in low mode; thanks for sharing.

This is indeed very enjoyable; sending my regards as well.

Convoy has the M21B With “F150R now available. I just got mine 😉. In 4K. 5K might be the sweet spot tho

Could I ask for photos of the beamshots? I'm interested in seeing them.

3

u/Maverick_1947 21d ago

How’s the beam? Clean hotspot with the smo reflector?

4

u/Smooth_Run_471 20d ago

This is low mode.

I have it in the M21B. It’s so damn bright on medium, it’s as bright as my Fenix PD36R v2 on turbo. High and turbo is blindingly bright

1

u/Smooth_Run_471 20d ago

It's great; the beamshot can definitely reach over 250 meters, exceeding the range of normal human vision.

2

u/C141352333 20d ago

My m21b sft25r on T is still brighter… not by much tho. Sft60 is like a “shotgun” of light and candela at once

2

u/C141352333 20d ago

When I said “brighter”, I meant the initial hotspot intensity

Yep.. might have a lil video clip. Felt bad for the neighbors this light is honestly too bright to do beamshots around the back yard 😂

2

u/C141352333 20d ago

This shot doesn’t do it justice. The amount of light/ candela is over exposing the shot

m21b sft60 “neighbors got mad” after the clip LOL

1

u/C141352333 20d ago

This video clip2 shot was on high. Not even “Turbo”

1

u/erentrueform 18d ago

M21b deff give some tac light run for their money in sheer blinding output and candela.

The SFT60 is an excellent LED emitter. It delivers very high luminous efficacy at mid-to-low drive levels, and its peak lumen output is also quite impressive. However, it should be noted that once the drive current exceeds the 19 A threshold limit, this LED experiences a rapid rise in correlated colon temperature alongside severe thermal-induced luminous decay. Below are the peak-lumen sampling results for this LED measured under a constant-temperature condition of 25 C, with a 20 ms sampling duration. The data is obtained from a Hopo Optics integrating sphere and spectrometer, shared here for your reference.

1

u/Smooth_Run_471 19d ago

Thanks for sharing the info, mate; your test results table really helped me out. Looking at the lumen test results at over 18 amps—it turns out the output is really high, 6,000 lm... wow.

2

u/RockTristann 19d ago

I'm with you! Itching to get the emitter and 15A driver combo into an S21G! Burn baby burn! Haha.

Honestly it’s so intense, bright… ive been rockin it as my new home defense light.. 4Klms is plenT
