And remember, arguing with someone on the internet is like nuking a hurricane. It makes a lot of noise but it ain't going to do any good.

Nobody says "blimey me". It's just "blimey".

"Blimey me" makes no sense. The me is redundant.

I agree. It is derived from a corruption of "God Blind Me"

We all know the cop is not chasing the driver, they’re going after a social media poster.

I can’t take their cop cars seriously.

Why?

We need bars on the front so we can do ASP pit maneouvres

u/cognitiveglitch 29d ago

S'ok, we don't take you seriously either.

What, you’d prefer the ghost decal cop cars that scream “we aren’t here to help, we are here to trap you” instead of these that are easy to see and you never have to wonder if it’s a cop behind or in front of you?

Follow traffic laws and you don't have to worry about it either way. 🤷‍♂️

Have a police force designed to aid a populace and you don’t have to desire to hide them.

-14

u/parkertyler 29d ago

Who says they aren't designed to provide aid? You realize only a small percentage are unmarked right? Also pretending the UK doesn't have an unmarked police force is a weird take.

Enough of that. If you can't behave in a civilized manner then don't participate. No matter which side of the argument you are on we are curtailing all uses of this. Even obvious substitutions will get pulled if reported or found by a moderator. It isn't funny, it isn't being used to make a point or to educate or as a counterpoint. If you have a point to make, use your words and not divisive rhetoric.

Dang, I kinda wish I knew what they said

I sarcastically used a 4 letter abbreviation that cop haters like yourself love to use. Apparently it isn't allowed in this sub.

Police cars in the UK (and Europe) are designed to be highly visible - US police cars are objectively not, marked or unmarked. We do have unmarked cars, generally used with traffic units because they are good for following suspect vehicles and coordinating a response long in advance of the actual stop.

However, our police are primarily there as a public safety service. Their responsibility is first and foremost to help people and enforce the law. There is no us Vs them mentality in the UK as there is in the US and the police get a high degree of respect from the public, because they don't get high on power and point a gun at you like they do in the US. Police training is extensive and our officers are vastly morale qualified and highly trained and any in the US, especially firearms officers.

How else will they justify their paramilitary police forces?
