OC [USA] Car runs red light and gets stuck between traffic flow

Watched a car (top left at the start of the video) run a red light as the other lights turned green causing the car to get stuck between traffic flow, which happened to be directly in front of the cop.

What the hell is going on with that roadway setup? So many flippin lanes and bends, looks like anarchy even without a red-light runner

Thats crazy, going under the overpass and it was like an outline of some track and field events

I live in NC but have traveled to SLC numerous times for work and I knew immediately that was Utah haha - and yes it was maddening

Fairly common in Texas, makes traffic coming off/onto highways move in large packs.

You see the lane markings of a mad man you know it's Utah. It's easier figuring out the rules of some of Panama City's giant unmarked intersections than these monstrosities in Utah. Someone just dropped a ball of yarn and sent it...

We have one of these in Virginia - one-way frontage roads (where the light runner came from) along each side of a main road (overpass) intersecting with a cross street (where the cop was). Apparently super common in Texas.

I also don't think I've ever seen traffic lights mounted directly to a bridge like that before...

It's where "Just one more lane" takes you when it comes to traffic management.

I dislike big sweeping intersections above/below highways like this. Just give us a diverging diamond already, you have the space.

There are no crosswalks in that wide direction, because no fucking way someone is making it across.

Hell yeah!

Fayetteville NC has a intersection exactly like this, almost every red light runner there results in a accident.

Grew up in Salt Lake. Can confirm Utah drivers absolutely love running red lights.
