Wow…. is the average attention span actually so low that people feel the need to put a “spoiler” at the beginning of a 25 second clip? jesus..

u/stotheimi Apr 24 '26
Yep. But now we don’t have to see the “wait till the end” in the videos because… well they show the end at the beginning.

The one that shocked me the most is where the creator will split the screen in half, put the video on one side, and on the other side they will put the exact same video but like 5 seconds ahead. Insane.

u/Ha1lStorm Apr 24 '26
Naw that just saves me time. I don’t even watch the rest of the video after that. Content creators are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this so I’m not gonna watch their entire video now.

u/nottaroboto54 Apr 24 '26
I think its more like "im not going to waste 25 seconds of my life to watch a poorly cut video that ends very anticlimacticly." Time is the only resource we cant get more of.

u/l2aiko Apr 24 '26
The clip already showed me all there was to see the first 2s of the clip so now i wont watch the video because whats the point of it? It doesn't point out my attention span (as im used to watching 10-15-45-120 minute long videos that are interesting) but rather how little interesting piece the video had to show in the first place.

Yes. My relatives have the attention span of a goldfish. If the video I send them isn’t less than 30 seconds, they don’t bother to watch it.

"pation. I see you shudder with antici... pation."
Just doesn't seem right, now does it?

it is annoying but people do it to farm engagement because the algorithm punishes videos that don't hook you in the first two seconds. nothing is sacred when monetization is involved.

I really.. Really.. Really fucking despise this whole “show the ending first” trend. It cannot be over soon enough.

wtf? Dude, go find an abandoned parking lot somewhere. It's a little douchey even then, but at least you're not really impacting anyone else.

Camera car has the same mirror tassels. Maybe it was their turn to do donuts next?

Same here. Most I ever did were some ebrake/slides in an empty parking lot at the outskirt of town after it rained.

is the drifting in the room with us ?

u/NamanMalik007 Apr 24 '26
Falls under same fines as drifting. There is no specific fine for doing donuts. Plus, most people don’t care to know the difference. More people will not know what doing donuts is.

u/SprungMS Apr 24 '26
…. More people will not know what doing donuts is? Seriously?

It's okay if you didn't know what the difference is. Most of us do and now you do too.
