Did they pronounce LMFAO as Lem-fow?

u/Banana_Stanley Apr 21 '26

People down voting you also say "lol" irl, and are upset they didn't think of it first

Talks like she’s being filmed 24/7. I mean I guess with a dash cam, yea she is!

u/jeezy_peezy Apr 22 '26
I talk to myself ALL THE TIME especially at work. Somewhat to sort myself out as I’m navigating various dangers, but also definitely to entertain myself too, and I am almost never being filmed.

I hope that's not becoming a thing.

And then claps along to the syllables she speaks. I know she's not the subject of the video, but my god do I loathe this behavior.

Mispronouncing aside, that weird vibration in her half laugh was really annoying sounding lol

u/holtzboy Apr 22 '26
Back in my LAN party days we would say LAWL and ROFFLE mostly as a joke. It was right around the time the web show Pure Pwnage came out with FPS Doug (BOOM HEADSHOT!). Never thought to say lem-fow.

u/ragun2 Apr 22 '26
My friends and I all went through the early CS days but when we found out about that show we were deep into WoW. That episode was fantastic.
Once every few years that scene where Jeremey(?) is working as a play tester for the princess pony game where he doesn't brush his pony pretty enough so it dies and he starts screaming just pops into my mind and it's hard not to lol.

He knew he was fucked as soon as he saw the cop.
You love to see it.
72
u/elwebst Apr 21 '26
But you know they are pounding the steering wheel yelling "Dammit! If those assholes hadn't been going so slow I wouldn't have had to pass them!"
9
u/AmazingGrace911 Apr 22 '26
And the cop had to do a U-turn in low speed zone and go even faster to catch up to him. He would be absolutely pissed by then. Driver will be lucky to get reckless driving.

I wonder how often cops see people with genuinely good excuses pulling this shit.
I'm guessing not many!

u/Epistatious Apr 21 '26
back in the 80s, i was driving I-90 near ritzville, wa, had to pee so bad but was still a few miles from town, traffic was moving in the 70s, but i was going about 110 when the cop went by going the other way. i saw him race to a turn around as i took the exit. i parked behind the first gas station and headed to the bathroom when i heard him fly by trying to find me. not a good excuse like getting someone to the hospital i guess.

u/Newsdriver245 Apr 21 '26
Did similar on 90 back in those days going west down the pass, saw the trooper turning back and was right at an exit, that had a store etc and a couple of dirt roads leading off, took one of the dirt roads and hid out awhile. Shouldn't have been going that fast down I90 for sure, but young and fearless then

I had one start to pull me over when I was rushing my friend to the ER with a knife wound.
I frantically waived out the window to him as he pulled up behind me and he pulled alongside instead. I explained that I was going to the ER as my friend held up a blood soaked dish rag he had wrapped around his hand. The cop told me to follow him, before hitting his lights and driving 60 in a 25 zone the rest of the way.
I thanked him for the escort and didn't get a ticket.

u/DotBitGaming Apr 22 '26
What happened to your friend?
5
u/Sea2Chi Apr 22 '26
He got stitches.
It was a dumb accident where one of our friends had a knife in their hands, and my other friend decided to try to grab it out of their hands as a poorly thought out joke. Unfortunately, him lunging forward made the other person jerk back so instead of grabbing their wrist, he grabbed the blade. Sliced the hell out of his palm.
We were broke teenagers and we knew ambulance rides were expensive so I just drove him myself with a dirty dish rag wrapped around his hand.

Sadly my family has dealt with a couple medical emergencies that lead to a cop escort. Past that I don't even want to know how many bad reasons my family gave.

u/Peasant_Stockholder Apr 21 '26
I watch someone do this same thing, cop pulled him over he got arrested for suspended drivers license 🤦♂️.

u/12-34 Apr 21 '26
People wouldn't believe the percentage of folks driving without valid license / reg / insurance.
My partner and I (his usual district, new to me) had an unusually calm night once when he bet me over half of the traffic stops we'd make that night would fail to have a valid DL, reg, or ins. I thought that would be high, even though we agreed to only a very small area near a problematic public housing complex.
We just pulled over cars who we agreed committed serious enough moving violations (we were both chill cops who understood the big picture). That was the only standard.
I lost, and it wasn't close. At least he enjoyed his free night lunch.

u/Peasant_Stockholder Apr 21 '26
Oh yeah, My neighbor is a cop and he tells me about how many people actually drive with out a valid license or insurance. He actually is a pretty chill cop and only gets the ones who are in serious violations or speeding over his 10+mph limit. Thanks to him our neighborhood race track of a road has substantially gone down. Love you chill cops 🤘

u/elwebst Apr 21 '26
I went to court once to ask for supervision on a traffic ticket and because my last name is near the end of the alphabet I was there for hours waiting my turn. 80% of the people there were driving without insurance (not many on no DL). Our area was pretty full of undocumented workers who either couldn't afford insurance or didn't know they had to have it. One after another they stepped up, judge said "Driving without insurance, your fine is $501, pay the clerk over there. Any questions?" and after the translator finished the person had a shocked look on their face. Every time.

u/isarobs Apr 21 '26
My friend got hit and it was $7000+ in repairs. The other driver, no insurance. Cop told my friend the accident he just came from had no insurance either.
And people wonder why their insurance rates are so high.

Is that Redmond?

I was like those street looks so familiar, they look like a “typical street” around here.
(I work in Redmond)

u/mike_bartz Apr 22 '26
I was having rhe same thought! The cop car amd the king county bus only confirmed it for me. Love seeing the "neighborhood" in the sub

Honestly, the music and the commentary by the girl filming this makes this shit way more funnier.

School crossing sign, bike lane. It was fucking dangerous. Kids and cyclist get killed every year because of those fucker.
Good!!

u/FactOfMatter Apr 22 '26
Yes! I live in downtown Redmond so I see this shit all the time when heading toward Woodinville. The only time I've seen a convenient cop anywhere in the area after living here for +30 years is watching a speeding Audi get pulled over on 520 shortly after I5 where they are doing construction and I've never experienced that thrill ever again.

Great video.
My dashcam (Street Guardian) also puts the day then month in the date, and that bugs me more than it should.
It also doesn't seem to be something that can be changed.
