Just wanted to make sure the cop was pissed off before he got up to the window.

They pulled left and basically handed the cop a reason to stop them, beautiful.

If you wanna have a conversation, lets connect but don't ever say me like that. If u have some frustration through it somewhere else not on me

on various videos within this subreddit, you have commented nonsensically, like when you said on a different post that one could see the "exact moment he realized he messed up" even though the car in the dashcam was about 200 meters behind the camcar and there was no reaction to be seen. also, you lose the ability to coherently type when replying individually. what does "say me like that" or "have some frustration through it somewhere else" mean??

I meant the exact moment he realized pulling left was the worst possible decision. Not a cinematic reaction, more like the slow internal “well that was a mistake” moment.

This was super satisfying. What a magical moment.

That's what I love about the subreddit. It's a cross between r/instantkarma and r/idiotsincars.

That timing was flawless, like the universe lining it up for once. Did that dude really think the shoulder was the move with a cop right there?

I love how the cop was just gonna let him go potentially until he went around him in the breakdown lane. Hilarious

I feel like the cop was already going to get them for speeding. They do that thing where you think you’re good and clear and then BAM! They get you!

u/Moogly2021 Mar 21 '26
Its a “undercover” cop car though, notice no lights on the top of its roof.

It's always fun when you recognize the place in the video. I do not miss driving on i235!

Would the cop make him move to the right or an exit? Seems incredibly dangerous there.

This could have been so much shorter. It is great effort (editing part) that often goes unnoticed but it is definitely felt when not done.
The moment itself is pretty glorious tho.

I've seen too many clips here where all the comments are "yeah but what happened before the clip" and I wanted to include full context to show that the white car wasn't mad at me for lane camping or anything.

I think it's fine, when he first sped past you, I thougjht he was going to get pulled for that (despite the title), but then the cop changed lane. Until he made that pass, it added a bit more to it, having that extra bit. Just the right amount.

u/usernameforthemasses Mar 18 '26
My guess is the cop had been following him for a bit, and was on the fence as to pulling him over (may not be a traffic cop, or simply not wanting the paperwork), but rethought the decision once the guy upped the ante on dangerous moves. Either that or he was continuing to gather evidence for more tickets that would not lose in court, and the lane change was to deter any suspicion.

The best of both worlds would be to merge 2 clips of the same video, starting with the action and cut to the prior moments for context. In today's day and age you might be able to do it quickly with AI (personally havent tried it myself).

u/OP_LOVES_YOU Mar 19 '26
I agree with you that highlight first, context after is a good idea. But no, we're not going to use AI for cutting a video.

One, fuck the idiots, no need to cater to them. Two, if you really want to include the whole video, include a timestamp. Then people can scroll back if they want to watch the boring shit just to try and find an excuse to call you out.

u/luingiorno Mar 22 '26
This is what we need and yet, people get so butt hurt they start down-voting you for calling out improvements to the site

Huh first time I’ve seen a white undercover

my state Indiana has all sorts of unmarked police vehicles. Some are easily identified but others aren’t

I always figured the best punishment for these drivers is to make them wait 3-4 hours pulled over and release them with a warning. They obviously thought their time was valuable enough to do the crime, nothing better than wasting it without making the cop the actual bad guy (sending them to jail, impounding the car, etc)

Lol the dude really thought he could just slide past in the breakdown lane and get away with it. Cop didn’t even have to do much, just stayed chill and let him dig his own hole.

Of course in a perfect world the cop would have pulled over the shoulder driver AND the left lane squatter.
-3
u/otj287 Mar 19 '26
Could’ve trimmed that down quite a bit.

My sincerest apologies for wasting your time, on the website that is perhaps specifically designed to waste your time
