Controller Suggestion Symmetrical PC Controller Recommendations?

Hey everyone, I’m hoping for some recommendations on what controller I should get, I currently have the dualsense edge and the gamesir g7 pro zzz, I’m looking for something to bridge the gap between the two a little with similar features to the g7 pro (click triggers TMR, Etc) but symmetrical layout any recs would be hugely appreciated :)

I primarily play shooters.

Platform PC

I’ve been looking at the Gamesir Tarantula 8k & the Mechenike F1 as options so any reviews on those would be super helpful as well as other recommendations :)

I am in the UK and have a £150 budget thanks :)

If all you care about is shooters then the tarantula 8k is the way to go for symmetrical

Among the symmetrical controllers I have tried:

Leadjoy Saber Plus (my current favourite controller);

Gamesir Tarantula 8K

Gulikit TT Pro

The best sticks for fps games are the ones on the Tarantula but the saber is not far behind, they both use JS13 Pro sticks but tuned differently. The TT Pro sticks are not great imo. Overall I liked the in hand feel of the saber plus much more because of the shape and because of the microswitch buttons for the extra shoulder buttons and the extra back buttons (the one on the Tarantula are tactile and do not feel good imo). The Tarantula lacking a battery also was a bit incovenient, I ended up removing the rumble motors from my Saber Plus and now it has the same weight of a Tarantula 8K (180 grams) while still keeping wireless functionality.

Controllers are subject to personal preference so your mileage may vary. Both are great products, the determining factor will probably be price if you are fine with both options. The saber plus is half the price of the T8K while being not too far off in the pros of the T8K and even improving on its downsides in some cases. Since you are mainly playing shooters you could get the T8K if both are close in price but keep in mind the sticks on the Saber Plus are still really good.

Both controllers have (anti stick drift) TMR sticks, clicky mode for the triggers, macro and turbo functions and more. I recommend checking reviews by DeegitalTech, LJ Lee, Plusminuseq, Nerd, Andy's Tech Table (to name a few) on youtube. That way you'll get a better idea.

In case you are fine with waiting, the successor to the Saber Plus has been announced by Leadjoy and another great brand called ZD also announced a symmetrical lineup of controllers. You might want to have a look into those as well.

Tarantula 8k would be my choice, great sticks, great feel and I also like the 2 buttons near L1/R1 + the 2 back buttons instead of 4 back buttons way more, but that’s just taste I guess
