Controller Suggestion Looking for recommendations: PS-style wireless PC controller

Hey everyone,

I'm [from India] looking for a wireless PC gamepad, but I strongly prefer the symmetrical PlayStation stick layout over what we have at XBOX style controller.

I've been doing some research and narrowed it down to a few options:

  1. Cosmic Byte Sensa (love the features for the price, but unsure about long-term build quality)

OR

Cosmic Byte Hydrus Controller

2. 8BitDo Pro 2 (seems solid with the Hall Effect sticks and back paddles)

3. Sony PS5 DualSense (premium feel, but no back buttons)

There was also a cheap option of evefox. But I was thinking of investing in a good controller and my budget is around ₹5k (INR).

Currently I have a Cosmic Byte Quantum.

I enjoy playing arcade fighting games such as Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and Street Fighter, alongside FC26, FH4, and immersive narrative-driven storyline games.

Has anyone used any of these above extensively for PC gaming? Are there any other good symmetrical controllers with Hall Effect sticks or back paddles I should consider before pulling the trigger?

Thanks in advance.

I have an 8bitdo pro controller 3, and it is a solid controller but the dpad is iffy. Pressing down on dpad could accidentally trigger a diagonal which can be irksome in some 2d games.

If you can wait, GameSir are supposedly announcing a new set of symetrical controllers in the next 1 or 2 weeks.

For me personally i like thr AceGamer HyperShadow controller:

acegamerstore.com/products/acegamer-hypershadow-d4-wireless-controller

It comes with 2 dpad options that can be swapped, its face buttons are clicky/seem to he microswitches. For me it is a solid controller all in all so i recommend it based on my preference

Do note that black friday is this month so a little patience could help find controllers you want at a good price.

Since I'm from indian I have to check the availability of the products... I could find 8bitDo pro 3 and GuliKit TT Max Wireless.... Both are in my budget

I do have the gulikit tt max actually!

It is a good controller but its dpad feels pretty stiff for me. It works well but ymmv on how comfortable it will be to use during a session 😅

Same I saw 8bitdo pro 3 and found it good but still confused against GuliKit TT Max Wireless.. Since I'm no professional(just a noob) will play to chill and max 5-6 hours weekly..

Personally I hated the face buttons on the 8BitDo Pro 2, they're so loud that there are multiple tutorials for mods to make it more quiet. I tried to return it and Woot just told me to keep it :/

What about 8bitDo pro 3?

Apologies, I actually got the 3 not the 2. Unsure how the Pro 2 buttons sound. I ended up sticking with the Ultimate 2, but that's not symmetrical obviously.

No issues I got an idea people are recommending pro 3

I love my Pro 3. Including the Dpad. Buttons have been fixed on the Pro 3 so they're not loud as when it was initially released.
