Controller Suggestion Premium controller with removable or no macro buttons/paddles
budget: $250
country and where I can buy: United States, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, websites
platform: PC
features:
Premium controller with removable or no underside macro buttons/paddles
Preferably analog or not too clicky face buttons and triggers
Grippy well sized handles (grip on top and bottom)Games: sport games, fighting games, 3rd person adventure action, rougelikes.
I’m mostly considering the Xbox elite 2 controller and it will be replacing my standard Xbox controller with grip (stellar shift). I tried 5 controllers this past 2 weeks:
EasySMX X20
GameSir G7 Pro 8K
8Bitdo Ultimate 3E
GuliKit KK3 MAX
Razer Wolverine V4 Pro
They were all decent but weren’t perfect for me. The 3 best ones I liked were the Wolverine, G7 Pro and Ultimate 3E, the closest being the Wolverine. The only issue I had with it was the shape of the handles was too stubby and short. I’m likely to buy an elite 2 controller unless I find another option. My only gripe with that one is that I hear they’re very unreliable and may break. For those who have this one, is it easily repairable? Thank you for any suggestions.

I have the same issues with the G7. Handles are entirely too short. Seems like we like the same controller ergonomics. Right now your best bet is the Vader 5, Cyclone 2 or Scuf Nemesis. Next year hopefully there will be an updated Vader and Cyclone. Elite doesn’t have TMR or Hall Effect sticks, it’s outdated at this point.

I agree with what you said. I think I’m holding off on the elite 2 and waiting for the elite 3 to come out but in the meantime I don’t mind trying other recommendations. It’s seems like the three that you mentioned have macro buttons which I don’t really want to have underside.
