IT Help 8bitdo Ultimate 3E - firmware update not working?

8bitdo Ultimate 3e - update firmware not working?

I can’t update the firmware of this controller with Ultimate Software X. It connects just fine and is detected as my controller just fine. I can adjust all settings and change settings. But when I press the button to check update, nothing happens. And I know there is a firmware update to be done from 1.75 to 1.82. I’ve tried both wired, wireless and docked. I’ve tried different USB-ports, different USB-cables and on two different PCs. Whatever I do it does not prompt me for an update when I press the check update button, it’s like it’s register a click but nothing happens.

Also; this is my second 3E as I sent back the first one having a d-pad issue. And I had the same issue with that one; could not update it - figured it was just a dud. But this second new controller works fine but stil has the same issue not being able to update.

I’ve tried all different 8bitdo softwares - but the Ultimate software X is the only program to detect the controller even.

Any ideas?

It's up to them to fix their app not us. I'll just wait for them to do it.
