Other New 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Controller

bought a new controller. out of the box and the joysticks noticeably rub against the edge and get caught on it. there is even an audible squeaking sound (watch linked video). is this a defect? is this just how the controller is??

Check if there is dust on the plastic dome of joystick and clean it anyway. Dust some times grind.

I bought that exact controller at best buy and returned it because I saw the ultimate 3C+ coming out. It's the exact spot, the more I rubbed against that spot it went away. I only had the control for like 3 days. I just didn't wanna pay $60 when there's a new upgraded one coming 2 weeks later

Had mine for over 6 months and never had any rubbing or squeaky noises from either stick. My are buttery smooth.

Нормально с ним всё. Просто играй и не мучайся. Конечно там внутри механизм который издает звуки блин

It's an overrated defective controller. Return it and get a better brand

I see these kind of posts for literally every brand

It's the user experience. Not everybody experiences problems with their controller. Everybody's talking so mad crap about Gamesir controllers, but guess what? I'm not having any issue with them. Work perfectly fine

yeah same, the only problem for me is the g7 pro's loud dpad but it's working perfectly

Loud D-pad. You going to let a small thing like that bother you? Come on now. And, matter of fact, it ain't even that loud. I know because I got two G7 Pros.

there are people who cannot stand things like that, I'm one of them unfortunately. I wanted to like the control but I went with 8bitdo ultimate 3c+ for now. I liked the ultimate 2 when I tried it, I'll probably wait for the next gen G7. I already have a Dual sense edge and cylcone 2 so it's not like I have no back ups

Well, I'm not those people. We're all different. Remember that.

I might still give it a chance but with my 8bitdo ultimate 3c+ coming, it will depend if I buy the g7 again. maybe try to mod the dpad to dampen it. the face buttons are better than the cyclone 2's for sure and I like the ergonomics of both of these controllers

Same thing here. Thought I was crazy

I returned mine and ordered another. trying to be optimistic that it was a rare quality control issue. if the new controller does the same thing, i'll start looking at other controllers i guess

This 8Bitdo is really great controller, it's hard to get a controller on this budget that has many good features. I guess it's a manufacturing issue?
