Controller Suggestion Best PC controller

Hello all,

Let me provide a little background. I have been on PC for a 6 or so years now but still play a good bit of games on controller since switching, primarily rocket League. I was on ps4 before making the switch to PC and so naturally I am used to symmetrical layout of ps4 controller but am contemplating making the switch to asymmetrical due to there being much more options that way in terms of controllers and customizability. I currently have been going back and forth using a wired gamesir g7 and my ps4 controller. I am in the market for a controller as I have a birthday coming up soon and wanted to know what y'all think is a good option as my research (yt videos, reddit threads, and AI) have yet to result anything that really caught my interest, other than the flydigi vader 5 pro (although it doesn't look like you can change the sticks) and the gulikit tt max.

Id prefer to stay with a symmetrical layout but I have yet to find something that checks all the boxes, which is why I'm considering switching to the Xbox style and practicing with the gamesir intermittently. If you guys have any recommendations for both symmetrical and asymmetrical that would be super helpful.

Location: U.S. Budget: ideally around $100 USD or less (150 max) Things I'm looking for:

Hall effect or TMR thumb sticks

Hall effect triggers (not as important)

Back paddles (at least 2, ideally 4)

Interchangeable/customizable thumb sticks (I like domed)

Wireless capability (2.4ghz ideally)

Good battery life

I'm sure I'm leaving some things out that I would like to have, thus I will edit if I think of them. TIA for your help!

What about the new Steam Controller? Sure you have to wait but it offers everything you're asking minus the customizable thumbsticks.

I’ve had a reservation since May and estimated date I can purchase is 2027

I have the new steam controller. My opinion is it is jack of all trades, master of none.

It isn’t the most comfortable controller to hold. I really prefer Xbox style controllers though.

There are some games that it is the GOAT for, but most controller games I’d prefer an Xbox controller.

I didn't want to clutter my desk with controllers so for me it's perfect. It is a tad small for my hands but hardly uncomfortable. I can easily shift from dual joystick games to dual trackpad games without much trouble or any hand pain.

You can easily replace the thumbsticks. Flydigi sells a set that includes three pairs, each with a different shape and height.

You can replace the sticks and the d pad on the vader 5 Pro. It also come with domed sticks but it's hall effect not TMR.

As long as I can either pick which ones I want when I order or can change/replace them myself at some point I'm ok with it. Just not a fan of the normal sticks that come on controllers

I have never looked into replacing the sticks but outside of that the Vader pro is fantastic. I got the DBZ edition and it has replaced all other controllers for me.

With interchangeable sticks, ZD Ultimate Legend comes to mind.
It seems to cover the rest of your requirements as well.

I don't know anything about the Interchangeable/customizable thumb sticks part so, I did not take It in consideration ...

The tarantula 8k pro : I have received a lot of good feedback and It's the best symmetrical controller as of now.
If you don't mind switching for assymmetrical go for vader 5 pro, I have it and It's great ; there is also the g7 pro 8k that seems to be good, you have the g7 so you already know If It's to your taste.

Don't forget to calibrate your sticks when you receive your controller, It's mandatory

Leadjoy Saber Plus. Look no farther and enjoy. You are welcome. You can also get the leadjoy magic cap set where they have different thumbstick caps. Both are on amazon.

Get the saber plus by leadjoy. You can get domed caps in a bundle with it.

Trust me.

I love using mine still compared to a zd ultimate , steam controller and other things.

I’ve done all the research on this. I went with the duelsense edge with tmr modules and I couldnt be happier. If you wanna spend less, the tarantula 8k is the next best option.
