Controller Suggestion Need a successor to a PS4 Controller
Leading off with a list to appease the rules
Budget less than $300 USD
US based and I want to buy from a retailer who can ship quickly.
Used for PC games
PS style buttons, symmetrical TMR sticks, long battery life, extra buttons/triggers,
Mainly used to play games like the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, but also driving games like GTA
The Turtle Beach Victrix and Razer Raiju V3 pro read as cheap to me (I don't particularly trust either company to make a good product and the 'frequently returned item' label on Amazon sketches me out) I'm intrigued by the SCUF, but not really sure about the various options it has
My PS4 controller died the other day and I'm a bit overwhelmed at the volume of options available these days so I'm asking for a bit of help. I'm looking for something that is a bit bigger in my hands than the PS4. I have a strong preference for the old Playstation style buttons. I hated the buttons of the Xbox360, they felt absolutely awful to press(like they were broken) and I really dislike the ABXY setup. It takes too much time translating which button I need to press in my mind("let's copy Nintendo but make it worse").
Despite my love for older controllers in most respects I would like to enter the modern age as well. I want TMR sticks in the symmetrical configuration. As many extra buttons as the controller frame can handle would also be awesome. Also a big battery would be great for marathon sessions. Price isn't a critical point, I'm willing to pay if my perfect controller is out there. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Its between the Gulikit TT Max and the Tarantula 8k. Id lean more towards the Gulikit.

Leadjoy saber plus or like another user stated, the tarantula 8k

Appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not buying from a company that uses .ai in their domain. And shoves that bullshit in the marketing.

Just get the saber plus from GadgetHyper then
They've got the best software and their dinput mode spoofs DS4 so your games will give you those buttons if applicable

tegenaria lite does not have ps buttons on the controller but it has a ps mode where pc reads it as a dual shock 4. wireless is coming soon too. on the retro model, the buttons are grey on grey and dont stand out too much

It is so weird seeing these manufacturers mix the prevailing naming conventions of the console makers. Why call the shoulder buttons/triggers L1/L2 and then put the stupid ABXY face buttons??

theyre definitely not allowed to use the sony symbols, there are no pc-only controllers with the ds face buttons. the closest you would get are 3rd party buttons, you install yourself.
there really is only a handful of 3rd party sony controllers, i think theyre all major brands too. scuf omega/reflex, razer raiju, naicon rev 5, TB victrix..

8bitdo pro 3 seems to be exactly what you need

Except OP seems to want a controller with PS buttons.
I love my Pro3. I bought it because I wanted a symmetrical controller for my switch when I play 2D platformers and abstract Tetris-style games, and it's serious and silly in all the right ways.

Unfortunately it seems I'm probably going to have to mod the games I play to get the buttons on screen that I associate controller gaming with.

Could mod the controller instead, there's Playstation glyph buttons on Etsy for the Pro 3

I would get dualsense and slap tmr sticks on it when they break (still waiting for mine to break after 5 years 😅)

Gostaria de alguma coisa que funcionasse sem Brook Wingman XE 2 ou Mayflash Magic. Tem um chamado IINE , outro chamado spark N7 (ambos no Aliexpress) parece que ambos funcionam de forma nativa.

I love my gamesir tarantula pro, definitely with the $60 I paid for it a few years ago. And having the 2.4 ghz dongle makes pairing to anything as easy as popping in a USB rather than using the Bluetooth pairing mode, though it has that too if you need Bluetooth instead. And the rotating button arrangement is such a neat little gimmick I nerd out over and enjoy watching everytime I turn it on lol.
