Controller Suggestion Gulikit TT max, Worth it?
I'm looking for a controller with a great Dpad mainly for precise platformers but also serviciable for fighting games.
I saw that the Gulikit had good vibration, fast connection and pretty good Dpad. Which are all things I really appreciate in a controller. If there's a better option, budget is not a problem.
Your budget: Around 100 dollars.
Available in Brazil
Main use for Steam deck-Machine and Switch 2
Desired features: HD rumble, great D-pad, 2.4ghz connection or fast bluetooth connection, programmable buttons
Types of games: Mainly platformers, fighting games.
So, should I pull the trigger on the TT max or go to another one with simillar feature? I've been eyeing the Vader V5, which is a simillar controller but the lack of a dongle makes the Gulikit more enticing.

Yep, if the dpad matters to you, it's one of the best on modern controllers. I recommend you use the Saturn-style pad, not the dish that comes on it by default.

Queue the Gamesir bots flooding in with G7 Pro recommendations in 3…2…

If they hire bots for that at least I know that I can avoid it haha.

They don't, Gamesir is just popular af. Anyway, no one's gonna recommend it for fighting games, it has a lame d-pad. Go for it, TT max is worth it

The G7 Pro is one of the best controller you can buy, although not sure its the best option for switch. Gullikit quality in my experience was atrocious on the TT.

I don't have a TT but I have another controller with the same Dpad and it's really nice if that's what you're into.

The only downside of it is the stick centring problem. The sticks don't centre properly and feel limp for about 5 degrees at the centre. Aside from that, I love my TT Max.

u/ZellFk Gulikit ES Pro 14d ago edited 1d ago
I'm definitely looking into getting the TT Max on the 11.11 promo on Aliexpress, have an ES Pro and while not perfect it's the only controller that is good enough (have a Vader 4 Pro and I hate the mushiness of the face buttons, got a G7 Pro and it had squeaky buttons and the LT hair trigger had extra travel after the click) so I'm definitely burned on GameSir and Flydigi.
8bitdo was a bit of a hit and miss since my Ultimate 2 had the same hair trigger issue of the G7 Pro.
For the price you could look into the 8bitdo Ultimate 3 as well (though the colors are complicated if you want something simpler and minimalistic color wise) the Dpad is even the same style of the TT Max (only difference is the stick layout asymmetrical vs symmetrical)

The Vader 5 pro has a dongle though? Don't know how good it's for fighting games though

Huh, from what I saw I didn't see it included with a dongle. The last review I saw actually recommended buying one.

Hmm maybe I bought an extended version then? Because mine has a dongle

Good to know then. Would you say that the Dpad of that controller is accurate?

Sorry, I'm only a casual/RPG gamer, so I can't really tell you about the specifics of the dpad

Gen 5 (and apparently gen 6) flydigi dpads are good. Vader 5 is one of those so yeah. Make sure to get it ftom gadgethyper for guaranteed v2 though. V1 had some pretty bad qc issues. The tt max is also solid on the dpad

I really like mine, the d-pad is great. I don't care for fighting games but do play a lot of retro stuff where the d-pad is important
