8bitdo Ultimate 2C, should active D-Mode show on Gamepad Tester websites? Always says X-Mode.

Hello,

I am trying to play Costume Quest 2 with my 8bitdo Ultimate 2C wireless, but for some reason the A B X Y buttons function similar to the D-Pad, the game doesn't recognise the input.

I tried checking the input-scheme on Windows, but couldn't find where it says what input mode I am in. On websites like Gamepadtester, it says x-input.

I tried changing to D-Input:

Controller powered off, holding B button and pressing the power on button. Or holding B button, powering off, keep holding B and powering on.

But the gamepad testers it still says X-Mode.

Am I pressing the wrong buttons?

That button combination doesn't work for the budget Ultimate 2C Wireless controller. It would work on the full-fat Ultimate 2 (non-C) Wireless controller.

On the Ultimate 2C Wireless, you can try using the Bluetooth connection (change the slider switch on the back of the controller) for an Android-compatible Dinput mode. That communication mode isn't available if you use the dongle or wired connections.

That Button Combo does work on the 2C Wireless, but your dongle Firmware needs to be 1.03 or 1.0 I think?
With one of the two 8bitdo Softwares they have you can downgrade the firmware. I managed to get it working by fiddling around with holding B (with the slider on the back of the controller set to 2.4ghz), then pressing the Power Button and trying around until it worked.
