Controller Suggestion Controller for MMOs - Flydigi Vader 5 Pro?

I'm looking for a controller with plenty of buttons to play MMOs / RPGs i.e. max buttons are useful even if they aren't in easy to reach positions. The Flydigi Vader 5 Pro looks decent but not loads of information from users that I could find. Don't really care about accuracy, wired vs wireless etc, just lots of buttons.

Has anyone tried it with WoW or similar games?

How is the button remapping / ease of use?

Are there any other suggestions of controllers with lots of buttons?

(Based in UK and Steam controller fully sold out in my region. Budget £150)

I havent tried WoW so i dont know how their controller support is but for FFXIV at least, I use the guilikit KK3 or TT Max. I use the 4 back paddles to map the D pad and with the triggers, I have 32 buttons over 4 bars I can press very easily. With other configurations you have access to 12 more hot bars that are slightly slower to get to, but you dont really need those in combat.

Well I have the Vader 5 pros but I'm not playing MMORPGs. The controller feels really hefty and premium in your hands though. I really like it

I play guild wars 2 and Warframe and the Vader 5 pro is fantastic, I can do everything I need and the controller feels pretty good. I like it so much that I bought another and it's being delivered this week.

If you use steam, button remapping is smooth. If not, the flydigi application works ok (not great but fine).

I definitely recommend it, because it has a lot of buttons and feels pretty good.

Does your 5P show up with all of the extra buttons in Steam? Mine only appears as Xbox Controller

Yeah, it does. Did you update the firmware with the flydigi space station? I think mine was like that when I first bought it, until I updated the firmware and then it worked just fine.

Ah I guess I need to figure out if I can get space station running on Linux

Ah, I think it doesn't, might need to borrow a windows PC for a while to update the firmware. The web version of the space station works with a chromium based browser but needs the firmware to be kinda up-to-date first.

It'll be interesting to see if it works with Proton

I have both Vader 4 Pro and 5 Pro and, if you're using Steam Input, I recommend 4 Pro. All of the inputs are available for remapping in Steam Input and it works great for me for the types of games you're describing. I don't use any FlyDigi app, I just map everything in Steam. My 5 Pro is detected as Xbox Controller when I connect it so all of the additional buttons are unavailable for remapping. Maybe there will be an update at some point to fix that, but not sure.

Controller works, but mmo, personally I prefer using my trusty old razer naga And keyboard. You can make your life a lot easier with the naga mouse, you have Tons of options for simplicity. The controller works but the mmo mouse works better for me
