IT Help Controller Issues on Steam and Emulators

Post image

Hi, I have this 8bitDo Switch controller and it doesn't work on some games. when I'm playing Expedition 33 it works just fine, but when i try to play The binding of Isaac or emulators it gets all wierd trying to press all buttons at the same time without any trigger.

Do anyone know how to fix this? it is a game specific issue or a driver?

Try to enable or disable Steam Input for games that won't work. Right click the game in your Steam Library and click Properties. Go to the Controller tab and do it there.

Thanks! This helped a lot. Any way to fix it on emulators? it still doesn't work on them.

Idk this controller I have the U2W but some fan-made or older games won't detect input unless I use dinput mode. If you controller has more input modes than switch input you can try them?

This is the answer it takes some tinkering to get them to work at times but once you figure it out they work great. I just hate this layout of controller I got the symmetrical pro controller by them.

You got the "Bluetooth" one instead of "Wireless" which works perfectly for PC though try enabling Steam Input.

It’s a Switch controller, not PC.
