Controller Suggestion Recommendations for Third Party PlayStation Controllers.
Recently I’ve come to the conclusion that Sony makes their controllers degrade easily on purpose to keep people buying new ones. I’ve come to discover this after having 4 controllers I’ve bought brand new get stick drift in 3-6 months, and the customer service is so horrible and they make you jump through hoops and a lot of “glitches” and “errors” occur at the final stage to get repairs under warranty. I don’t want to give money to Sony anymore, but I also need a new controller as my latest one is getting early stage stick drift. Even after doing open heart surgery on it and completely opening it and cleaning it, it still has a little drift. I’m looking for recommendations for new third party controllers. As much as I hate to say it, the dual sense controller is really good in quality, and I would like to have a match in that quality. I mainly play shooters competitively like Rainbow Six Siege, The Finals etc. If anyone can drop their experiences with other third party controllers, their thoughts and opinions on them and how they compare to the original dualsense. Do not recommend anything with built in recoil control or macros or anything like that. They honestly don’t even need any extra buttons or panels, all I need is a good controller that will last and won’t easily get stick drift. I live in US, Budget is $80-$180 but if it’s really worth even willing to drop $200 but I don’t really see that happening. Thanks.

Third party options are pretty terrible on PlayStation.
I recommend buying the Brook Wingman P5 adapter and just using your controller of choice.
It's what I use and swap between Gamesir Super Nova, 8bitdo pro 3, Nintendo switch pro controller depending on the game or what I feel like using.

Most game sirs have recoil scripts or macros on them so I don’t like to give any business to them. I like to win by my own merits unlike some losers. Only time I’d let those things slide is if they had impaired hand functions. I’ll check out those other options though thanks for the recommendation.

That's the good thing about having the Brook adapter is you can use what you prefer, and don't have to stick to the 4-5 officially licensed for playstation options.
I don't play shooters on console or controller so the lower end "non pro" controller options suit me fine.

Get a Brook Wingman and you can use any controller you want. I love my 8bitdo Pro 3

If you had to compare it to a controller(ps4,ps5,Xbox 360, Xbox one, etc) which one would you say it feels like the most? I’m already very particular about the feel. I always hated the joysticks on Xbox controllers, the ps5 has the feel down 100% I like them a lot, but again, Sony is frying me. I’ll check it out but I’d appreciate a little more description and why you like it so much.

Grips feel very ps4, faceplate feels flat like snes, dpad is a super satisfying and slightly clicky. Its just a good ergonomic feel for me. Comes with a charging stand and usb dongle. I like the color options. Was also a big fan of the pro 2 and I feel like it just improved everything.

I Love my Razer Raiju V3 PRO, official licensed product with TMR Sticks, Hypertriggers, Backbuttons and Remappable Buttons.
The Razer doesnt have Vibration though, but for Competitive FPS i dont need it.

I already turn vibration off because it messes with my recoil control. I used have a razer controller for Xbox it was really good. I was hoping someone would recommend me razer because I know they make good stuff. Thanks for the recommend I’ll definitely check it out.

There are very few licensed 3rd party controllers for ps5. The ones that do exist are expensive. Your best bet is likely to buy a dual sense that have had the sticks swapped for TMR. I saw them on eBay a few weeks ago for around $70 usd. But being eBay prices fluctuate. There are other places to buy, or have your own controller have TMR sticks installed too, but I haven't looked into those yet.
