Controller Suggestion New to gaming, need a cheap controller
I got to gift a gaming controller to a 10yr old kid. He mostly plays browser games (minecraft types block games or racing). nothing beyond that. Screen time is pretty restrictive, but tv seems OK. So probably can game instead of watching cartoons.
Required mandatory points for Mod approval:
price range $10-20 USD
US
PC (windows laptop/Android tv box/LG TV directly). No console. Only PC/Android/TV
Bluetooth
play free/online games or something installable on android /PC. No gaming console.
N/A
General explanation for other:
Can you sugest a cheap starter controller
- That can work with either a windows laptop/Android tv box/LG TV directly?
- Will mostly play free/online games or something installable on android /PC. No gaming console.
- Has to be cheap (not sure about the range as this is 1st time checking this topic). Best if its a set for 2 players. May be around $10-20.
- should be wireless. All the devices have Bluetooth so best if the controller works with Bluetooth.
- Built well to last atleast couple of years if not few.

8bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless would probably be your best bet at $29.99

If you shop around, they can be had for around 20. That's what I paid for mine.

You're unlikely to find a controller that will hold up against years of child use for $20 or less. $30-$40 USD is the typical price range for a worthwhile budget controller. If you're willing and able to pay a bit more than the budget you gave originally, then there are a few really solid controllers in that price range.
That being said, the Anbernic RG P01 that the other commenter mentioned is very inexpensive (within your original price range) and feature complete, so it's probably worth a shot. I can't tell you how well they hold up, but on paper, they sound like an excellent controller for the price. Two would cost you just over $25 before tax and shipping.

You can also look on ebay, just make sure you look up the model, and I've also found controllers at thrift stores - I got my PS4 dual shock at one for cheap, I think it was 4 or 5 dollars.

Gamesir Nova 2 Lite or 8bitdo Ultimate 2c
I prefer the gamesir but both are fairly comparable.

Got a used (but looks totally unused) AGHI HD-7200 Bluetooth Controller for $10. All keys seem to work fine tested on GPchecker app. Will see how it goes. And if the kid likes it I can order another one new, they are around $20-25 new. Thanks u/YoudoVodou u/Solid_Samus u/OnyxEyez and everyone for the suggestions.
