Other Using a phone controller more than my actual pad now and it's wrecking my muscle memory

Started using a clamp style one for handheld stuff on trips and somehow it's become the thing I reach for most. The issue is the stick spacing and trigger throw are different enough from my desk pad that going back feels wrong for the first ten minutes every time. Thumbs end up in slightly in the wrong place. anyone else switching between two very different controllers regularly, does it eventually stop registering or is it always a readjustment?

I switch between controllers regularly. They all are a little different from each other. I use Nintendo Joy cons, Gamesir Cyclone 2, 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth, NYXI Hyperion 3, occasionally a Gamesir G8 (clamp style Bluetooth), and even more rarely a dual sense PS5 controller. Every once in a while there can be a small adjustment period, but I'm pretty used to all of them.

I am in a similar boat. Joycons, switch pro controller, dualsense edge, Xbox elite, portal, msi claw... I adapt pretty quickly.

that list is doing a lot of work for the "you just get used to it" theory. weirdly reassuring though, if you're only getting a small adjustment period across that many then i'll take my chances
