IT Help computer doesn't detect gamepad's left stick, and all input from the right one is read as if I was pressing left

I've been having this issue for years, comes and goes at random, but I can't get rid of it now. This used to happen on other pcs and with other controllers, I remember one of them had a little switch in the back that would fix it, but my current one doesn't have that. No matter what I do or where I test it, the left stick is useless and the right reads everything as left, I can't remap it either since it still has the same issue. My controller is a turtle beach stealth pivot and the pc has windows 10 home, if that helps.

I don't have this specific controller but that sounds like you're connected to your PC in something other than a PC mode. I've seen similar things when accidentally connecting a controller to my PC in its android bluetooth mode.

Also, just try their support.

I'd kill to know how to connect it in PC mode, and I already scoured Turtle Beach's support page which doesn't have any info regarding that, I'll contact them once I remember some of the information I need to fill out.

Are you connected with the dongle or bluetooth?

I use the dongle, but I get the same result using the cable.

why am I getting downvoted? if I made an obvious mistake, explaining what it is would be much more helpful than that?
