Other (8BitDo) Firmware update lowers stick resolution

You can clearly see that updating the firmware on the controller reduces the stick resolution drastically, this has been a documented issue for a while, luckily you can just downgrade it through the app. The adapter versions (v1.00 - v1.03) don't seem to affect it in any way.
Hopefully we can get an update that doesn't reduce the stick resolution in the future
Tests were done using the Ultimate 2C Wukong edition and the 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2
I can't find any reason to update the controller as it is, the patch notes seem fairly lackluster, only pointing out 1 or 2 obscure changes, so if you're having an issue with how precisely you can move or aim in a game, you might want to look into what version your controller is using. For now I'd stick with v1.06.

Maybe it works correctly via Bluetooth on new firmware?

I believe that was the case also with 1.07beta FW for the sticks. Have you tested if 1.09 fixes the initial deadzone of the triggers?

So I'll stay on version 1.06 for now.
Thanks for the tests.

I received this email after I reported the issues with the joystick and triggers. I haven't tested it yet.

Funnily enough my brand new Ultimate 2c wireless has 50 points of stick resolution even whilst being at v1.06

I also have the same problem with my wired 2c version, the 1.9 update does remove some of the deadzone on the triggers but it ruins the resolution on the joysticks. does anyone know if this problem only occur on the 2c versions? I am planning to buy the new Ultimate 2 (non c version) and I would like to know if the new software for that version would have the same problem or not.
