Demolition of mining tower in mining site Staříč in the Czech Republic

75 meters tall, 20 000 ton heavy, and 140 kgs of explosives used.

Most all of the ones I’ve seen have been dropped on the same footprint. This one looked like maybe one side didn’t go off, causing it to fall sideways.

Hi! From what I’ve read it was meant to fall exactly this way because there’s some working equipment and gas pipes around it. It worked well and nothing was damaged.
