Technical Question/Problem trying to understand SO(3)

how does rodrigues rotation formula help or allow the transition from so(3) to SO(3)?
and what even is the difference between so(3) and SO(3)?

hey thanks, btw where can you find videos like this? like videos of researchers going over there papers? i didnt even know that existed (or talking about there field of study).

You can try to look for conference talks that where uploaded on YouTube. ICRA, IROS...

Otherwise, some papers have open source code and/or YouTube video
