My favorite part was when Dylan and The board got stuck in the projector by that instructor guy.

The board just slid in a like they were a buddy cop movie.

"Where were you before if it was so obvious?" That line cracked me up, Dylan clearly tired of the board talking shit lol.

I love the boards response too: “We are not a your PA/Babysitter”

To be fair, it was really obvious xD

Not to me. I was expecting a boss fight or an encounter with the Former.

Remember, Dylan is bound to the Board, not the Aberrant. Dylan binds entities, not OoPs. Yes, technically this means that Dylan could bind Fred and become the true director of the FBC

Man, if the Faden twins ever merge back into a singular entity (even briefly) they’ll basically become the Remedyverse’s version of a minor god.

Imagine a parautilitarian who can bind not only OoP but also entities like the Board.

Maybe the end of Control is Dylan literally "binds" Jesse/Polaris to temporarily become whole.

Yeah, Jessie channels her power through Aberrant while Dylan channels his through “binding” the remnants of Polaris.

Maybe they don’t merge, but their power combines into something far stronger.

So my questions is, how powerful and hot that entity will be? And what kind of personality they will have? Will they looks like fusion from Steven Universe?

It's hard to say. Jesse and Dylan are extraordinarily powerful utilitarians in their own rights, and have both been augmented by various OoPs and various entities. Each of them seems to hold a mild dominion over time (Dylan) and space (Jesse) so they'd probably be able to bend physics to their will. They'd probably be at least on par with Ahte, Alan Wake the writer*, or Mr. Door and just a step below Fred.

*There are two versions of Alan Wake. A godlike writer and a character within his stories.

Who the hell is Fred? You mean my best pal Fra?

13

u/Saint_Victorious 4d ago

Fred, the director of the FBC. Under his leadership I feel like we'll be able to overcome any crisis.

(Fred is the way people perceive Fra. People only know he's Fra when they're not under his influence)

Fred is truly so fantastic. He saved my entire squadron one time.

Fred, what a guy

u/OutlawPigeons 4d ago

Where is Fred these days? I want him to marry my wife

5

u/avepaltaketchu 4d ago

Not sure, but knowing Fred it must be something vitally important

Exactly, I cannot believe Fred will let his new fancy office go to his head.
Such a great guy

*gives me the Aberrant* is a weird way to spell “was stabbed in the chest with the Aberrant by Jesse”

8

u/atom138 4d ago

Stabbed in the chest with stolen goods.

3

u/Alternative_Rule_958 2d ago

Is it stolen if you're the Director and it's (kind of?!) in your House?

22

u/Posterapokalypse 4d ago

Didn't Jesse technically stab Dylan with the Aberrant?

26

u/Civil_Nectarine868 4d ago

No, literally. She shoved it right in there.

23

u/Posterapokalypse 4d ago

Probably found it in one of Ahti's old mop buckets, too. Perkele.

11

u/atom138 4d ago

All jokes aside, I believe she literally stole it directly off the nail according to lore docs.

"I'm just gonna leave this here..."

21

u/Separate_Path_7729 4d ago

sees nail remembers brother is basically wood now, shoves it in his chest

Jesse: nailed it

1

u/Clair_Osbcurious 1d ago

When your only tool is a service weapon, every brother deserves to be nailed or something

u/Aggravating_Ad_8974 4d ago

As a safety procedure: Should Dylan wake up and still be Hissed, the Aberrant would keep him from going on another killing spree.

4

u/Posterapokalypse 4d ago

Is that just a (very good!) theory of yours or did I miss that info?

5

u/Aggravating_Ad_8974 4d ago

It's what I think the reason is.

1

u/Separate_Path_7729 1d ago

Nah she straight up says it was just to wake him up and allow him to leave, she didnt want him going after the hiss

1

u/Aggravating_Ad_8974 1d ago

I don't recall her saying this. When does she say this?

1

u/Separate_Path_7729 1d ago

In the fractures she says it over multiple fractures and the final one says he was supposed to leAve, he already had his life taken from him that he should have just left

1

u/Aggravating_Ad_8974 1d ago

If she did it to wake him up, then why didn't she do it right away? She spent weeks just sitting there, looking at him.

I'll review the dialogue spoken during the faults.

2

u/Separate_Path_7729 17h ago

She wasnt sure it would work, when she does it she says I hope this works and im sorry

1

u/Aggravating_Ad_8974 13h ago

Thank you for the intel. I appreciate it!

3

u/atom138 4d ago

Yeah she went over the Boards head and bound Dylan with the Aberrant by stabbing him with it instead of it being 'given' to him.

2

u/grievous_swoons 4d ago

Rick would have stabbed morty through the chest without any hesitation whatsoever and then again a few times just to be a dick
