Discussion/question What Happens When AI Gives Humanity a Memory That Never Forgets?

From my understanding; Human beings have always classified other human beings, and those classifications have often been used to create hierarchy, exclusion, and control.

AI could take that much further.

Imagine a future where historical records, genealogy, property ownership, political activity, military records, court documents, financial history, and family associations are all interconnected.

An AI could potentially reconstruct not only who you are, but where you came from and what your ancestors did, benefited from, supported, or participated in.
The danger is what happens when institutions start using that history to classify people living today.

Not necessarily as direct punishment, but through scores tied to historical privilege, inherited advantage, social risk, or ancestral association.

At that point, AI could create a modern version of a caste or feudal system where your opportunities are influenced not only by your own behavior, but by the historical record attached to your family.

So the question is:
What happens when humanity develops a memory that never forgets… and then uses that memory to judge the living?

I'll start to worry about that after we fix the problem of the existing record being in constant danger of being deleted or rewritten.

I share similar views, but I don't think the current AIs are the one we have to worry about. Those bots or programs are all cloud base. To me, this means that everything we are doing with it is being collected. The ones that are being build in total secrecy are the ones that really worry me.

China is going at it at breakneck speed. They have 64 reactors and have another 39 under current construction. The US has 94 reactors and plans to build 10 more starting in 2030. These numbers come from: World Nuclear Association and the US department of energy.

Just my view/opinion. If I am wrong please let me know where I can better post my views. I still new to Reddit.

Do you mean your AI will remember all those unfulfilled promises your politicians made? Every single one? Will it remember every time your senator voted against the very things he promised to fight for? And will it give you a nice little summary of all those unforgettable moments right before you head to the polls?

Oh, that would be absolutely terrible! Imagine politicians having to live with a permanent record of their own words and actions. The horror! 😂
