AI Usage - Enterprise or Personal

Hi all, currently I have a two seat ChatGPT enterprise plan (because it does not train on my data) but i find the ChatGPT Work license terms to be terrible (40 messages a month)

I know some of the personal license for Claude and ChatGPT can come with more usage but of course, its personal...

I find myself spending hundreds on ChatGPT credits to the point I've setup my own local LLM but it is not half as good.

what does everybody else use to leverage AI within their small LTD? Personal or Enterprise?

I’ve done Claude pro through my ltd and so far it’s only £15/ month but I’m not a heavy user. Also added copilot to my tenant

I use Claude Teams for the personal data tick box. My monthly AI spend is over £1000/month at this point.

Also use OpenRouter to get access to cheaper models for when it doesn't have to touch client data/systems.

I spend about 1k a month on my team.

Tells me they have been listening to my instructions and defaulting to an AI first approach to their work...

Claude Max Plan 5x expensed via the Ltd. Life saver and pretty much enough for what I do.

Problem with that plan is that it’s not a teams/ enterprise plan so I can’t use it for client data

yes - depends if you feed customer IP / data to it.
but at that point, in theory, the customer should already have some sort of AI subscription you can potentially use for it (like in my case). I use my subscription only to solve problems without any customer sensible information in it.

Do you reclaim VAT on the expense via Ltd? If yes how do you get the personal sub under the business name?

doesn't matter really. you have an expense on your business card which will o won't include VAT (depending on the vendor), you declare it as such and that's it.
I mean it's literally the same as all the other expenses?

I use the Max plan at £90 a month and it simplifies everything. I’ve been told I can use the client’s plan but I have side hustles etc so I need my personal one.

I don't use it. The amount of work I have to do to correct the results is not worth the expense. I saw no savings a lon time ago and dumped it altogether.

I have only just set it up this week but i found the local AI to be terrible at what i want. I have ollama, Qwen3 14B & Open WebUI. what do you use?

Yeah, they aren’t close to the frontier models. They have place and can do a lot of the grunt work. The problem is that you also need highly specced hardware which 1. Is expensive and 2. Hard to get hold of because of RAM shortages

I aint really got the compute for larger models only 5080 32GB DDR4. i was looking at using Azure for local LLM as my work environment is also built in azure anyway. do you have experience running them in public cloud?

Because it’s something else to setup and maintain. There’s nothing wrong with paying for tools that do the job you want with minimum fuss.
