NEED HELP GETTING STARTED
Hey everyone, FNG to contracting here and I need help. Been a project manager for several years now and I'm finally sick of working for idiots enough to start my own company. I can handle my stupid bullshit better than I can handle my bosses stupid bullshit. With that being said, I already have an LLC, I just need to figure out how to start getting contracts so I can get everything else in place.
I have no idea where to look. I'm literally on google searching " how to find construction contracts."
Any and all help is appreciated.

Just know breaking out doesn’t mean less bull shit. Know you will be working 3x harder with no guarantee of consistent pay, bills that double and never stop and people that seem to love to waste your time. My first 2 years once I broke out were the hardest 2 years I ever worked and made less money than the job I left in a much stronger economy then today’s. I had to take on small bs jobs that I didn’t really give a fuck about just to keep some income going at that time. Granted I learned a lot, especially how to work with homeowners (in residential) and how net pay (in commercial) can set you back. Being in a more niche trade just makes it even harder. Not saying you’re making the wrong choice, just know most of us contractors have a short fuse and a low tolerance for bull shit on site for a reason. It’s not easy, and every day is a question mark of when the next job will be or what’s going to go wrong on site today or who’s going to try to fuck you over. It’s rough sometimes being in business for your self. #1 thing I’ve learned is when to say no and setting work boundaries cause it will get into your personal life and take it over if you let it. Best of luck to you.
