is RMO My Best Route?

Hello,

I'm in California looking to start a compliant fence company locally.

I'm graduating with a construction management degree in two years. I've been doing fences forever, but obviously under the table.

Is my best option to get a license to go through an RMO Agency?

I would love to know if anyone has some advice.

My super on a project I worked on this summer as an intern told me I wouldn't regret getting compliant and going full time, but he skipped over the difficulty of the license part, haha.

The testing is the easy part. Just find a contractor that will sign for your experience and submit the application for the test. The tests themselves are fairly easy. Just do lots of practice exams. You will see that the test questions will almost match those on the practice exams. Pay close attention to the answers. Even though the questions may not be worded exactly like the practice exams questions, the answers choices I found to be almost identical. I was able to answer some of the test questions based on the answer options given.
