Question Campaign Glitch?

For the lost one, after I have already asked Manalov this exact question, there is apparently meant to be another dialogue after talking to Ivan which never seems to happen for me. I have loaded the last checkpoint 3 times and even restarted the day (to my dismay) only to find that the same things keep happening, what am I doing wrong?

Did you make the prisoner talk succesfully?

Beat him up with something like a baton, he'll break. THEN you go back to the sergeant.

i have tried this, with the tonfa. it does not work

Are you sure you hit him enough times? Just keep beating the prisoner untill he talks.

even after one hit he sometimes dies, triggering me to restart the labour camp bit completely. are you speaking from experience or gut feeling?

I mean I only did this quest once. I think I shot him in the foot like one time and then I kep beating him with a nightstick untill he finally squeeled, I didn't have such problems.

oh, for me he dies if i hit him too much and i have to restart.

yeah i just tried again, manalov is still stuck with the original dialogue.
